RACE REPORT

After a considerable delay it was left to Guillemot to make the early running a length in front of Vic and Land Maid. After settling down Land Maid reached the front, closely attended by Vic, and this order remained until the leaders reached the chains, at which point Summer Lightning drew to the fron, closely attended by Hexameter, Vic and the fast finishing Sapling. Passing the bend, there was a rush to the line which saw Sapling gain supremacy to finish 1 1/2 lengths ahead of Summer Lightning, a half length to Hexameter, with Vic close up fourth.
